My design depicts the elegant Concorde, the world's first supersonic aircraft, the successful product of Anglo-French cooperation, in British Airways colours. The two prototypes took off from Filton and Toulouse in the same year that Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. The aircraft was painted with special white heat-resistant paint to reflect some of the heat and reduce the surface temperature; flying in excess of Mach 2 her airframe heats to over 127 degrees Celsius even though the surrounding air may be minus 60 degrees. We used sky blue fabric so that you can see the aircraft.

The design contains only whole back stitches - no part stitches - and some back stitches. The kit as you will receive it contains a cover sheet with colour photograph and details of contents, 14 count blockweave Aida fabric, DMC stranded cottons in 13 colours, ready-sorted on a thread organiser with the key, needle, easy to follow charts, small scale and large scale, instructions for beginners and instructions for this particular kit.

The finish cross stitch will measure 13.6" x 4", 34.6 cm x 10.2 cm, will fit a frame without a mount measuring 15" x 7", 38.4 cm x 17.8 cm, or a frame with a mount measuring 18.5" x 10.5", 47 cm x 26.7 cm.
